Location & access
From Warminster head towards Bath on the A36. At the traffic lights on the Limpley Stoke viaduct turn right towards Bradford on Avon. Follow the road under the railway bridge and over the river. You will see a gate left of the bridge with our club sign. The gate is secured by a padlock and chain, the chain has two combination locks. Ours is the newer lock with the push button on the bottom. You can fish from the road bridge as far as you can walk upstream until you are opposite the ‘Cross Guns pub at Avoncliff. This is by far one of the best stretches of the River Avon.
Parking at Limpley Stoke, there is a lay-by just pass the bridge on the left hand side. Park here if you can but it does get busy.If the lay-by is full there is our signed gate on the right just as you cross the river, we can park just inside the field to the left of the gate. Make sure the gate is secure after use as the farmer keeps livestock in this field.
